Born in Argentina on September 12, 1969, competitive golfer Angel Cabrera has competed on the PGA Tour and the European Tour. Cabrera was born to machinist Miguel and a maid’s mother in Córdoba, Argentina.
According to Cabrera, when he started working as a caddy there when he was ten years old, the Córdoba Country Club almost became his home. He competed with other caddies for cash to perfect his stroke.
Cabrera’s first PGA Tour victory, which followed his green jacket victory in 2009, happened on July 6, 2014, at the Greenbrier Classic in West Virginia.
It was his first PGA Tour triumph outside of a major, despite being his third win in the country. Cabrera finished rounds 64 and 64 successfully on Saturday and Sunday, earning him first place and $1.17 million.
