American professional wrestler Jamar Shipman, better known by his ring name Jay Lethal, was born on April 29, 1985, and is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). His work with Ring of Honor (ROH) is what makes him most famous.
Lethal, dubbed “The Franchise” by Ring of Honor, has won the ROH World Championship twice and holds the company record for the most consecutive days with the ROH World Championship. He was also the only person to hold both the World Championship and the World Television Championship at the same time, and he was a former ROH World Tag Team Champion with Jonathan Gresham. In addition, he was the longest-reigning ROH World Television Champion ever, having held the title for 567 days. Lethal is the only man to have won the ROH World, World Tag Team, World Television, and Pure championships. He is also recognized by ROH as a Grand Slam Champion.
