He went on to play on sponsor and event invites on the European Tour and Challenge Tour after making his pro debut at the 2014 Irish Open.
He qualified for the 2015 European Tour after finishing 11th at the 2014 European Tour Qualifying School in November 2014.
Fitzpatrick finished tied for eighth place at the 2016 Masters Tournament; in June, he won the 2016 Nordea Masters and rose to 32nd in the Official World Golf Ranking, his highest position to date.
