Gobert is a French professional basketball player. Born Rudy Gobert-Bourgarel on June 26, 1992, in Saint Quentin, France.
The 30-year-old professional player represents the French National Team in their international matches and is also a player of the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
He’s known to be one of the NBA’s best rim protectors, he plays the centre position.
Gobert started playing basketball in 2003 for the JSC St-Quentin club before later joking the St-Quentin BB club. He started his professional career in 2011 and is still in the game.
He declared for the 2013 NBA Draft and set NBA Draft Combine records for wingspan and standing reach in the 2013 combine.
He was the first NBA player to test positive for COVID-19 in March 2020.
