Wendell Andre Carter Jr. was born in the country on April 16, 1999. For the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association (NBA), he presently plays basketball professionally.
Carter was a graduate of the 2017 class at Pace Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. He leads the Knights to a 27-3 record and the Georgia 6AA regional championship as a sophomore while averaging 21.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 4.1 blocks per game.
When he helped the Georgia Stars of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) win the Peach Jam championship and was selected as Co-MVP with Jared Harper, Carter continued polishing his skills over the summer of 2015.
Carter was a Duke Blue Devils basketball player in college. Carter played for Duke for one season. On November 18, Carter scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Southern to a 78-61 victory. Carter was named ACC Rookie of the Week on November 20.
On June 21, 2018, Carter was chosen by the Chicago Bulls with the seventh overall pick. On July 3, 2018, Carter formally signed a contract with the Bulls. On October 18, he made his NBA debut against the Philadelphia 76ers, scoring eight points while grabbing three rebounds, three assists, and a block. Four days later, against the Dallas Mavericks, Carter recorded rebounding (9) and assists (4) highs for his career.
